Key takeaways
- Your audience's habits beat any industry chart.
- Look at engagement by weekday and hour across your recent posts.
- With a few posts of data, schedule straight into your strongest slots.
Every year someone publishes “the best time to post on Instagram”. The trouble is that it's an average of millions of accounts. A food blogger in Mumbai and a fitness coach in Delhi have different audiences awake at different hours.
Find your own best times
- Take your recent posts and Reels (not Stories).
- For each, note the weekday and hour it was published and its engagement rate (interactions divided by reach).
- Average the rate per weekday-and-hour slot.
- Your top slots are the ones to use; ignore slots with only one post.
AiHopper does this for you in Analytics → Insights, from your own posts, in your timezone. It needs at least 5 posts with reach data before the pattern means anything.
Schedule at those times
When you schedule clips from a long video, turn on “At my best times”: each clip goes into one of your strongest slots, spaced apart. Without enough data yet, your chosen time is used instead.
